According to the statement issued by the White House, IPEF has 13 initial member countries, namely, the United States, Australia, Brunei, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The GDP of the 13 member countries accounts for 40% of the world. The statement focused on the four key pillars that IPEF focuses on: an interconnected economy (trade), a resilient economy (supply chain), a clean economy (clean energy) and a fair economy (anti-corruption).
