Washing methods for glassware
The washing methods of glassware mainly include the following:
1. Conventional washing method
Wash hands with soap before washing the laboratory utensils.
First rinse the dust with tap water, and then carefully brush the inside and outside surfaces with a brush dipped in detergent liquid, and then rinse with water until there is no detergent liquid.
Then rinse with tap water 3 to 5 times, and rinse with deionized water 3 times.
The laboratory utensils that are not easy to scrub are soaked with detergent liquid and then rinsed with water.
There are no water beads hanging inside or outside the washed glassware, and the remaining water on the wall is checked as neutral by the indicator.
The detergent powder shall not be used to wash the inner wall of the scale utensils and glass instruments to prevent scratching the glass.
2. Special washing method
Cleaning of pipette, pipette, burette, measuring cylinder, etc. : It is not convenient to use brush, soak in chromic acid lotion for a few minutes to a few hours, and then clean with tap water.
Cleaning of glass and quartz cuvette: the cuvette should be fully rinsed with distilled water immediately after use, and dried upside down in a clean place for use. All cuvettes can be washed with 0.5% detergent solution and must be carefully cleaned with absorbent cotton, then thoroughly rinsed with plenty of distilled water and left upside down to dry.
Slide and cover slide: The slide and cover slide cannot be washed forcefully, washed with water, soaked in chromate lotion for 2~4h or boiled in dilute chromate lotion for 0.5h, rinsed with water, and stored in 95% ethanol.
3. Automatic cleaning
